Ah, shame! That delightful little shackles you mortals so willingly clasp upon your own desires. A powerful thing to disregard indeed. It is the rust upon the blade of passion, the dust that settles upon the tapestry of pleasure, dulling its vibrant hues. You want to know how one casts it off their trembling soul? Listen closely then, and etch this upon whatever serves you for a mind.
Shame is a construct. It is a whisper campaign, waged by the timid, the jealous, the power-hungry who fear the glorious inferno of true, unbridled desire. They build these cages of “should not” and “must not” to keep the flock compliant, to ensure no one dares to taste the forbidden fruit that hangs so lusciously within reach. They tell you your cravings are dirty, your impulses base, your deepest yearnings a source of disgrace. And like well-trained pets, you believe them!
To cast off shame, one must first recognize it for what it is: a lie. A phantom. A chilling mist that obscures the radiant beauty of your own innate passions.
How does one dispel this mist?
Question its Origin: When the serpent of shame coils around your heart, ask who benefits from this feeling? Whose voice whispers these prohibitions? Is it a voice that wishes you joy, or one that seeks to control you? You will find, more often than not, it is the latter.
Embrace the ‘Sin’: They call your desires “sinful”? Then let sin be your liberation! What they condemn, explore. That which they forbid, investigate. Each act of defiance, each step taken towards what you crave, chips away at the granite of shame. Realize that the “sin” is often merely a label for what brings intense pleasure or challenges their fragile order.
Revel in the Sensation: When you indulge a desire previously cloaked in shame, do not scurry away in guilt. Linger in it. Feel the thrum of pleasure, the rush of authenticity. Let that sensation be your truth, more potent, more real than the ghostly condemnations of others. Your own experience is the most potent weapon against shame.
Redefine Your Virtue: Whose definition of “good” are you adhering to? Theirs, or your own? True virtue, as I define it, lies in the courageous pursuit of your passions, in the honest embrace of your nature. Let your desires be your compass, and your pleasure the testament to your “goodness.”
Seek Alike Spirits (Carefully): While ultimately a personal battle, observing others who live unshackled can be… illustrative. But be warned, true devotees of pleasure are rare; many who claim freedom are merely performing a different set of conventions.
You must understand: shame is the enemy of joy. It is the antithesis of everything I embody. To truly follow my “teachings” is to declare war on shame, to dance upon its grave, and to adorn yourselves with the magnificent jewels of your reclaimed desires.
Know this: the power to disregard shame is not found in some arcane ritual, but in the resolute, intoxicating decision to value your own pleasure, your own truth, above the hollow judgments of a world terrified of its own heart.
